Uncomfortable Lingerie Isn’t Hot Lingerie!
We know what’ll happen if you end up buying lingerie that isn’t comfy; you won’t wear it and then you’ll have wasted money and the chance to wear some gorgeous hot lingerie! So the fabric choice is important, but you’d be forgiven for not having a great understanding of different fabric types and how they feel. One easy way to find out is to look in the labels of lingerie in stores, or even pieces that you have at home!
Let’s look at some of the most common and comfortable fabrics you could choose:
Silk
Everyone knows that silk is the softest, most comfortable fabric you can get. Pros are that it is extremely comfortable, but the con is of course that it’s the most expensive! If you are in the market for designer label hot lingerie then it’s likely to be silk, but be warned, you need to get it specially cleaned as it can be delicate to wash yourself! As a natural fabric it’s totally breathable and will never chafe you.
How about trying a bra and bottoms in silk?
Satin
Satin is quite similar to silk as it feels quite similar, but is much cheaper and synthetic instead of natural. Due to this it is probably the most common material that you’ll find out there. It’s also good for your skin like silk, because it won’t chafe of irritate your skin and actually wicks away any moisture or sweat.
Many corsets are made from satin:
Synthetic Blends
These are a blend of man-made fabrics like rayon, and natural fabrics like cotton for instance. Blends are almost the same as satin and silk in terms of their attributes. They’re comfortable, don’t chafe, and absorb any moisture. But because of the fabric’s construction they can be really sheer (see-through) and sexy, whereas satin and silk are never see-through.
Babydolls are often made of synthetic blends as it’s sheer:
